Buddies are important because they give students someone other than the teacher to go to with questions that may seem "silly" and give them someone with whom to share concerns. Throughout my undergrad at Spring Arbor, I was a mentor as well as a co-leader of a small group to children ages K-12 which I thoroughly enjoyed.
