I have known I wanted to teach since my sophomore year of high school, and have shaped my education around achieving this career goal. I have done everything I could to achieve both linguistic and cultural fluency in French: I worked for four summers for Travel For Teens, a tour company that takes American students to Europe for two weeks at a time; I studied abroad in the South of France for eight months last year; I will receive my B.A. in French Language and Culture on May 22, 2009. The summer before I left for France I tutored a high school student in French for two months. Once in France, I found two English tutoring jobs with French students, whom I tutored twice a week for six months.
