My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : Taught myself Calculus back in the 1990s

Reading Tutoring with special attention to reading comprehension. Literature selection implemented which would both broaden vocabulary and teach admiration for historic advances in the art of reading and making books. Exercises used to focus student's attention on identified reading problems. In the IT world I have also trained Tech Support reps and helped them get into Linux Server administration.

My comments on tutoring Pre-Calculus : can tutor with some review of the subject.

I have been a teaching assistant and tutor for the physics department at Wofford College for two years (starting in 2013). This covers both semesters of general physics, from classical mechanics to waves to electricity and magnetism to optics and modern. I have also taken all of the upper level courses available at the school.
I prefer to meet with students who have already looked at the material and are prepared with questions. We can then approach these problems together and solve anything the student was unable to do themselves. If I notice a gap in the theory behind something. I want the student to fully comprehend what they are doing. If not, they will never be able to do it without me there. Confidence is key and that can be achieved through repetition and a full understanding.
