I stopped working in the hospitals when my oldest child reached the age of 5, so that I could teach my children at home. The four of them are now grown and successful. Creative Writing is one of my top subjects!

All throughout high school I tutored younger kids with homework or specific needs in classes. I'm very flexible and very hands-on with my teaching. As a visual learner, it helps me to have a visual aid whenever I can and I employ that in my teaching. My strategy is to make learning fun for the students. If I can't enjoy what I'm learning, then I won't learn it and as such I strive to make whatever I'm teaching enjoyable for the student.

Both of my parents were teachers so education is very important to me. My experience in teaching ranges from working with elementary children as a teacher's assistant to being an Adult Education Instructor. I worked with 3rd graders who were low in math and reading for about 3 years. My greatest challenge and motivation came from assisting all ages in their quest for improved reading skills or a GED.
