I strongly believe that all students can find success as long as they work for it, and are encouraged to reach their goals. I am very patient with my students, and allow them to really think about the problem and work toward a workable solution. In my small group sessions I will usually present an example and have the students work on it while I go to each student to make sure they are understanding the problem. Seeing the student's progress through their course and enjoy knowing how to do the problems is the real enjoyment that I get out of tutoring

My academic background includes much coursework in biology, chemistry, physics, other sciences, and math. I won a scholarship due to my high GPA in the sciences, and was also a Coastal Fellow - doing a research project with the Audubon Society of Rhode Island and presenting my results in a scientific poster during a special presentation. I graduated With Honors. I have also worked as a teacher and have taught math and science to both high school and middle school students.
