I am a well educated, award winning educator who has successfully taught a multitude of academic subjects in to students in grades ranging from kindergarten through the eight grade! In addition to this, I have also received extra training in teaching math, science and technolgy. The training that I have received has allowed me completely engage my students in meaningful learning activities; which has resulted in my students gaining at least a years worth of growth on all state and national test. My teaching syle is on a personal one-on-one basis with instruction both thru lecture, hands on and multi-media applications. I believe students only learn thru a multi-level program. Lecture and memorization is not enough. Further, "teaching to the test" accomplishes nothing. Students must learn the content not just the basics.
I have 25 years experience in accounting. Also hold a BA in Psychology, a BS in Education and currently finishing a M.Ed in Education at UAB with a 3.8/4.0 GPA.
