I benefited from the liberal arts education I received from the University of Puget Sound, which offered a diverse selection of classes and an exploratory environment in which to pursue my studies. I think that a through understanding in any subject comes about when a student can recognize the important concepts, and how they relate to each other, and speak those concepts in words which they understand--while gaining the vocabulary and proficiency as each subject demands.
