I take a more hands on approach to teaching as I know that everyone learns in different ways. I believe in language acquisition as compared to simple memorization of words and grammar. I like to bring my own cultural knowledge into instruction as well. I believe anyone can learn Spanish. It is a very useful and relevant skill. A Little Bit About Me...

Right after graduating from St. Rose I wanted to get right into the field and gain experience. Therefore I was a substitute teacher for grades K through 5. When I was receiving my Master's Degree I took on a long term sub position teaching 3rd grade. After I completed my Master's Degree in Reading I obtained a postion teaching Academic Intervention Serives Reading to 8th graders.
I love the feeling of knowing that I helped a student accomplish something that they may not have believed they could do. I struggled throughout school so I feel I can relate to students who need that extra help.
