I am an excellent teacher/mentor. Hire me, hire the best!

I began teaching in 2011 as a tutor at a local tutoring facility. I quickly realized that I had a gift for teaching and a passion for doing so. I continued to tutor at this facility for 3 years. My schedule remained full as I was in high demand once word got out that there was a good math tutor. I decided to leave the tutoring facility in order to pursue my artistic passions through music. Shortly after leaving, though, I got some phone calls from the parents of previous students asking if I would still teach their children. After some thought, I obliged and began tutoring privately. I get along well with everyone, and I am eager to share my knowledge with all willing to accept it.

My teaching style has evolved throughout the years, especially depending on the type of student, but has always included plenty of preparation and making sure I know how to work through each question properly in order to explain from more than one angle how to answer. I believe that I have a very outgoing personality that is relatable to many different persons. I have the patience to sit and work through each problem that a student may have until it can make sense to them.
While an undergraduate at Colorado State, I taught various levels of chemistry laboratories for 4 semesters, which included both teaching credits and paid work. I love to learn and help others to learn. Different people learn differently; therefore, I present material in a number of ways until I discover how the tutee learns. With that information and plenty of patience everyone learns their own way and at their own speed. My goal is to not only help students improve their grades but to also learn the material.
I am a fall graduate from Troy University and will be graduating with honors. I am currently a peer tutor at Troy in biology and math (algebra). I have tutored privately before in high school math (algebra and geometry. I graduated 9th in my high school with honors earning an advanced diploma with an honor's seal. I love school and love to learn. I will be enrolled in Amridge University in January to pursue my master's degree.
