I enjoy working with both children and adults. I would say that my teaching style involves having an inexhaustible supply of patience which allows me to identify a student's strengths and build on them. It also allows me to identify areas where assistance is required and encouraging growth in these areas. I am also very easygoing and I have a good sense of humor which helps at times to put people at ease. My experience as a tutor is somewhat limited, but I was involved as an ESL tutor for a short time during college. I've had more experience training my coworkers or employees to better understand their jobs or to improve their job skills, but I feel that the experience would be relevant to a tutoring job. I would like to think that I am exciting and fun. I know what it's like to want to impress your teachers esspecially when it comes to music so I don't like to put to much pressure on my pupils. I want them to be able to learn at there pwn pace but also know that I'm here for a reason and that I expect an equal amount of effort from them as well. I did my associate degree studies in Classical performance. When I completed my undergraduate B.A. I had more of a focus study on Jazz composition. I was a high school vocal music director 7-12 for one year right after I graduated in 2007 to 2008. I have since then been teaching a wide variety of music classes in everything from elementary to upper level theory and aural skills.
