I love teaching all ages and skill levels. I adjust my teaching style to the individual - some people are visual learners or oral learners or hands-on learners. I teach by example and try to encourage my students to understand "why" rather than just "how."
I began college as an engineering major, so I have background in advanced mathematics and physics. I went on to change my major to psychology where I gained knowlege of social and behavioral sciences, as well as research technologies and statistical analysis. A Little Bit About Me...

I have had about 30 yrs teaching experience in middle school, elementary school and pre-school settings. I have regularly tutored before and after school both individuals as well as groups. Most of my experience has been in the science and math areas with Algebra I being the highest math level I have taught. While pursuing my education degrees, I paid a lot of attention to child development as well as the thinking process. This has helped me to make sense of how a particular student is thinking and feeling so that I can find individual ways to help him/her progress.
