From the wide diversity of these students, I've learned that each student comes from a different background and level of understanding. Through years of experience I've learned to try different approaches towards communicating the class material and concepts. Some general learning techniques are effective for everyone, and personalized methods can be even more effective and motivating.
I've been teaching and doing research at Texas A&M University for over a decade. Since earning a Ph.D. in 1999, I've taught several Biology courses including Microbiology, Molecular Cell Biology, and Introductory Biology at Texas A&M and Blinn College. The classes I've taught have ranged from small groups of twenty students to lectures of more than 300 students. A Little Bit About Me...

I'm a 19 year old girl from Italy. Blinn college recruited me as a volleyball player, so I'm living my new experience in the USA as a freshman. I love to travel and I've travelled a lot. Canada, USA, Morocco, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Paris, London, Norimberg(Germany), Helsinki, Haicheng(China), Lisboa(Portugal). My list is still long. Learning as far as I can is my goal.With that being said I love science and I'm pursuing a Major in bo-engineering, I want to be a resercher and help humanity somehow. The lab is my natural environment, I love dealing with cells and organisms. I can speak French, Italian, English and a little bit of Chinese because I won a scholarship and I lived in China for 1 month when I was 17.
