Tutor for the summer

I use the iPad (excellent resource) books, worksheets and materials I make to fit the situation.
I am a speech therapist with 11 years and experience. I have worked with students pre-k through 12th grade, primarily pre-k through 5th grade. I have extensive experience working with students on reading comprehension, answering and asking questions, semantics of language (antonyms, synonyms, multiple meanings of words, attributes, categorization), syntax, grammar, phonics and much more! It is my experience that an instructor delivers more learning when a student has an interest in the subject. "Inspire rather than require," has far greater efficacy in delivering information. I tend to make it fun, interesting and encourage student participation and feedback. Reward, a basic human desire, engenders craving for learning.
