I began my 32 year teaching career in the field of music. I taught in the Visalia Unified School District in Visalia, California. I taught classroom music to children in grades 4-6. This was a job that required traveling from school to school encompassing 12 schools a week. During that time, I worked on completing a fifth year of college in order to obtain an elementary teaching credential from California State University, Fresno. Upon completion on my student teaching in a second grade classroom, I began a teaching position in Lindsay, California teaching 2nd grade for 4 years there. I have taught children for 15 years. I have taught Vocal Music for 1 year, and taught Elementary Ed. for 14 years. I have tutored for Sylvan Learning, and Academic Acheivers. I have taught Summer School for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for 6 years. I have taught for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools for 14 years. I have taught Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grades.
