Use of Powerpoints with pictures and explanations which will not be found in textbooks. Strategies to correctly answer any nursing question, even if the material is unfamiliar to you Drills with multiple NCLEX questions from many different sources.
Previous nursing tutor at Dutchess Community College, Poughkeepsie, N.Y. Have compiled multiple Power Points over the years which explain concepts in simple terms and which have illustrations of concepts which will not be found in nursing textbooks. Unfortunately, nursing textbooks tend to be a faceless landscape which is presented to the student with many complex concepts. I have recently retired after 30+ years as an elementary special and regular education teacher. For the past 15 years I have also worked as a tutor for the city of White Plains. I have done extensive private tutoring for the past 20 years. For 17 years I worked as an elementary special education classroom teacher at New York Hospital in an out-patient day treatment program. This program involved elementary school age children who displayed severe emotional and academic difficulties and were unable to function in a regular school setting.

My comments on tutoring Testing Skills : Vocabulary and sentence structure are the foundations for ASL. The way in which you apply your skills will represent your skill set.

Start with the basics. Assess what level the student is at and then work that into a more challenging structure to pertain to what the student would like to accomplish.
I have been immersed the field of interpreting since 2008. Having graduated out of Bloomsburg University in 2012, over the last two years I have been professionally interpreting in three states and in various fields. My work ranges from public school classes, college lectures, medical appointments, religious sermons, platform events and government assignments.
