As the English Department Chair I mentored and provided leadership to the staff I supervised as well as my fellow colleagues. I earned a BS in Education as well as a Certification in TESL. I trained new volunteers during the Peace Corps, I taught rural Tunisian families how to use available resources to improve their lives, training natural education instructors and volunteers at the Wells Reserve, traqining and coordinating volunteers within my roles as Executive Director, completing all course requirements for my Maine Teacher Certification, obtaining Ed. I have been involved with education for seven years now. I started by working as a paraprofessional in the special education program at Oyster River High School. This job was essentially daily tutoring of students within the school setting. In addition to this valuable experience I recently recieved my Masters Degree in Secondary English Teaching from the University of New Hampshire (in fact, Graduation was two days ago).
