I will be graduating from the University of New Hampshire with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in May 2010. I also have a minor in teaching and will continue in the teaching field through a Masters Degree program at UNH this coming fall. I have some experience tutoring students. In the spring of 2008 I was involved in a program called Seacoast Reads through the University of New Hampshire. In the program I tutored a second grade student in reading. As a recent graduate of a high ranking tech school with my BS in Business Administration and Materials Engineering I am very familiar with the academic setting and learning styles of various students. My areas of study require me to be familiar with high level mathematics and science in addition to an understanding of communication skills in both technical writing, such as lab reports, and business communication techniques. I have earned two Bachelor's degrees, BA Biology/Chemistry with a concentration in Secondary Education and the second a BS in Medical Laboratory Science. Following graduation in 1987 with my first degree I taught High School Science for 4 years at 2 separate private schools – one in Wakefield, MA and the other in Columbus, OH. After two years of teaching, my desire was to enter the medical field whereby my employer provided tuition coverage for a degree in Medical Technology. At the University of Massachusetts I exceled in Math and Science classes. I orginally planned on being a Math major but chenged course after taking an Environmental policy class. As a law student, I have been committed to the public interest. I have focused my attenion on environmental issues.
