A life-long learner first, an educator next

I am a retired college educator with 33 years of experience teaching all-levels Spanish, Latino culture studies, and the literature of both Spain and Latin America. I have excellent bilingual (Spanish/English) written and oral communication skills with extensive experience in academic writing, proof-reading and editing in both languages I am also a teacher-training specialist. From 1990 until retirement in 2012, I equipped students to be Spanish teachers. Presently, former students are educators in Texas, New Mexico, and Washington while others teach abroad. English is one of my top subjects! From the Fall of 2008 to the summer of 2011, I worked as an English teacher in central China. I mainly am experienced with working with TEFL students. If you are an international student and need some tutoring help for your English, I would be happy to help you in any way that I can. I graduated from Oklahoma Christian University in 2008 with a degree in Music performance. During my time at Oklahoma Christian, I played bass in the jazz band, string ensemble, and several other university performances. College Teacher Tutoring Math, Economics Accounting TestPrep

As a student I was always helping my friends and brothers with their school work, especially math. While in graduate school working on my Masters degree I tutored for the athletic department and even tutored some of my classmates who were college professors working on their PhD's. I have been a college teacher for more than 5 years and started doing private tutoring over 2 years ago.
Teaching style varies by student and by subject, and even varies according to my level of skill in the subject matter. I have been told that I make things that are confusing or hard to understand easy, and I love that 'I see' look in a student's eyes.
