Sine high school, I have worked with children in BOCES. However, I started college later in life, after children and marriage. I wanted to provide my children with an education that I couldn't afford since I knew nothing of grants in 1974. I started with my AA and did not stop until I achieved my MS. My education has taught me discipline, research, study habits, and critical thinking skills. I have tutored students K-12; in Language Arts, Reading, Literature, English, Parenting, Nutrition, Careers, and electives for 11 years. Each individual student has taught me something new.

A Little Bit About Me...

My area of expertise and greatest joy have always been reading and writing, from childhood on. My dual degree is in magazine journalism and linguistics. These skills have enabled me to work in the New York City publishing industry in a variety of editorial positions. Here in the capital district, my favorite job has been project manager at a language services provider, where I could use my French and even my Norwegian while placing and producing translations. Throughout the years, I have had many experiences in the field of education. I began my experience in the classroom as a student teacher at Syracuse University.
