A Little Bit About Me...

I have been an educator in the field of education for the past 21 years. Three of those years were spent in upper elementary in the area of Language Arts. Nine of those years were spent in a first grade classroom were reading with a phonics approach ws used in cross curricular subjects daily. The remainder of the years of service has been spent as an elementary principal or a superintendent.
I am a firm believer that all children can learn and that each child has a individual method in which the can and will learn subject matter. I tutored for Sheridan Community College in Sheridan WY from Jan. 2000 to July 2004. I tutored mostly higher maths, ranging from algebra to business calculus. I also tutored general biology, microbiology, general chemistry, and human biology. I also taught for Sheridan Community College from Aug 2001 to Aug 2008. When teaching accounting practice or theory there is no substitute for working problems. Repetition of working problems helps all students gain insight of accounting rules and principles. I am a very patient person who is willing to do what ever it takes to see a student succeed in their academic endeavors.
The knowledge gained from completing an accounting degree from an accredited accounting program has possessed me with real world function and theoretical application of multiple accounting systems. A Little Bit About Me...

My teaching style is has proven to work with many students. The most important issue with tutoring is to identify where the student has the most difficulty. There are many ways to present material, such as discussion, visual effects and hands-on. What I have learned is that many people can learn through more than one way of teaching. It is important to go at there pace and reinforce the information they have already learned. I love teaching and it shows in my presentation and my tone of voice.
