My comments on tutoring Continuing Education : My career as a teacher has taught me the importance of extending learning beyond the classroom. I have adequate knowledge on adult learning theories and practices. I differentiate instruction to meet the needs of students and to address multiple learning styles.

I believe I have the skills set and passion needed to successfully tutor a variety of students. I was often told there were very few students who responded to their emails; however, I was one of them. I earned my Associate degree through Allegany College of Maryland. I enjoyed this area of study so much that I decided to transfer to Kaplan University Online and continue my study in Business Administration with concentration in Accounting. I have assisted a number of students; Grades 1-12 as well as college-aged and continuing education in various math and science courses. My previous career included 27 years in the television industry at various local production facilities in Oklahoma, Texas, Maryland as well as the Washington DC bureau of the ABC Network. I love tutoring all ages, and find that adults, while a bit harder to reach in the beginning are usually the most enjoyable to work with.
I like to take the "mystery" out of the subject. Math can be especially scary to students who don't have a strong foundation in general mathematics and reading comprehension.
