As far as I can remember I have always appreciated quality education. As a small boy I remember going to the small local library in Portsmouth, Virginia where the Librarian once said that she knew that if she would only have one patron for the day that it would be me. I have worked in three libraries during my career. During college I was selected as a Librarian Assitant based on my interest, academic achievement and overall poitive conduct at the university. After college later on in my carer after college I worked at both the Main Branch and one of the other locations in the City of Richmond, Virginia. As a NOAA Corps Officer, I helped teach new personnel many facets of our day-to-day operations, from instructing new officers on getting their Officer of the Deck qualifications to preparing new survey techs for their hydrographer-in-charge qualification, and new deck hands assigned to my watch how to drive the ship and steer accurate survey lines.
