I have been tutoring since I started college so I have over 5 years of experience in tutoring math classes and 1 year experience in physics. I have worked in a tutoring center for about 2 and half years and learned a lot. Most experience comes from tutoring in the center and private tutoring consolidated my experiences. My career in tutoring began when I was 14 years old. Young, I had to share my passion for learning with kids in my neighborhood. I believe since then that education, after bread, is the first need of a human being. I have been teaching Mathematics in the United States for the past 18 years. After graduating from Bridgewater State University in May 1995 with a Bachelor in Science, majoring in Math, I started teaching as a full time bilingual math teacher in Randolph High School, Randolph Massachusetts. I taught Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, and Calculus I. In the summer of 1996, I founded and directed a GED program that was conceived to help parents who did not have the means to finish High School. In 1997 I opened an "After School Program" to help students, not only with their homework, but improve above all in the areas of Reading Comprehension and Mathematics.

Completing my High School Mathematics Education - 2013 Have completed Calculus I-III Statistics Linear Alegebra Geometry (regular and Euclidian) I will be completing my education this year and qualify for student teaching in the Spring of 2014. I have passed the Florida Professional Ed. exam and will be taking my 6-12 Math concentration in the next several months. I have worked with students of all ages, and relate well. I have tutored people in math before. Their grades have ranged from 7th-10th grade. I have also helped friends in classes in college that have to do with statistics and other math classes. When I was in high school, the highest math class I had ever taken was Calculus BC. This was the highest math class that my school offered so I believe that I could people pass their math classes in high school and possibly College. I also scored a 730 on the Math section of the SAT.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY Let me start by saying that in my family we have a lot of teachers, so it runs in my blood?. I teach Economics and Business classes. I have been teaching for the past 13 years so I have plenty of experience. I meet 40 new students a month. I taught for several universities online and on campus. Economics, my favorite course to teach is viewed by many as boring; there are right and wrong ways to approach questions, and finite answers to many questions. Of course, it is far more than that as economics should be viewed as a complex language with many shades of gray that necessitate complex judgment calls. I try to get beyond the procedures. My approach: A positive atmosphere. Students are called upon to discuss questions, but mistakes are treated as opportunities to explore misconceptions, not as a reflection of a student's abilities. I have been taking classes at Daytona State for 1 semester, but like my credentials said, I have gotten awards through them from my Middle School, and high school. I have been tutoring since 2003. Tutoring was first introduced to me while in highschool, where I tutored other students on state testing. I began tutoring in 2006 working with afterschool programs in Waco TX. There I worked with Communities in Schools, a non profit organization located across the United States. I tutored and worked with afterschool till 2010. I tutored elementary and high school students. I am an Elementary Education Major at the University of Florida and have helped many students succeed in all subject areas, with a strong focus on Elementary Education.
