A Little Bit About Me...

As an undergraduate, I tutored peers in comprehension and completion of English writing assignments. While in graduate school, I taught second graders the art and craft of poetry writing. I have tutored/taught various groups and individuals, including Bosnian refuges, at-risk youth in residential treatment, and adult community college students.
I view the "cognitive reductionism" currently driving educational standardization as problematic. A Little Bit About Me...

If they can realate the information to an actual happening, they are more likely to remember. In terms of test preparation, aside from learning the information it is important to work on test-taking skills (relaxation, focus, etc.).
