As an undergraduate, I attended Purdue University and worked as a teaching assistant where I ran my own lab, instructing students for one of their core management courses. In my junior year, I was asked to apply to an invitation-only program for an an accelerated MBA program only for exceptional students. I am now entering my final year of this program and will graduate in 2011 with a BS in Business Management and a Masters degree in Business Administration. The graduate program is team focused and emphasizes working with and teaching diverse groups of people.
I am a strong believer in teaching through examples and letting students try to apply the knowledge I have taught them at various smaller stages, then apply it to the bigger picture. I love working with kids, and I think that with patience, understanding, and time, all students are capable of reaching their potential.

I have earned two bachelors degrees, BS in Accounting and BA in Early Childhood Education with an endorsement in Reading. I have also earned a Masters in Business Adminstration. I have learned extensived skills on how to reach a struggling student and how to in still confidence back into the learning process. During the last six years, I have substituted for all ages PS-12 and tutored numerous students from elementary to high school in mathematics, reading, science and English.
I assist the Reading Center Directors in assessing area public school K-12 students at-risk in reading and writing. The information is used to identify areas of literacy strength, as well as areas of need.
