Enrolled in Advanced Placement for all of High School and graduating with a 3.5 GPA, I have five years of tutoring experience, students ranging from 5 years to college age. I also have experience in resume assistance, test preparation, and public speaking. I am currently in the process of getting a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language and Composition, as well as teaching credentials for the state of California.

My comments on tutoring Guitar : I taught myself acoustic and electric guitar. I am not experienced in classical guitar.

I tutor not for facts, but for concepts and how everything fits into the "big picture."
I have been a tutor for over four years. I enjoy tutoring and teaching a variety of subjects to whoever wants to learn. Learning for the sake of learning is one of the most important things I have learned in college and that is how I apply myself to tutoring. School should not be about just memorization; it should be about learning for the sake of learning.

During my time in college, I switched to become an educator as I discovered a passion to see the lives of children transformed. During my process of gaining my BS in Physical Education, I worked with many after school programs and taught both elementary and high school during my student teaching. I am a very down to earth person especially when it comes to kids. I always try to lighten up the mood and make learning things interesting and fun. I don't like to dismiss when I see a child having trouble in something. Every person has a different way of learning, I try to cater to each of their needs.
I have tutored children in reading last summer. It was one of the most gratifying things I have done. I worked with English as second language children ranging from ages 5 to 13. We used a lesson plan and several activities to help children in achieving their reading level goals. Also, in my undergrad experience, I excelled in writing and was very good with meeting deadlines.
