My last position in public accounting was as a Senior Tax Manager. With Courtaulds Coatings I was the US Tax Manager, I prepared the income, franchise, excise, GST tax returns, managed the staff for sales tax preparation and compliance as well as managed all the audit activities for each. I managed the risk management for the US coatings, fibers and aerospace divisions. A Little Bit About Me...

My preferred style of teaching is student-lead. I believe in the Socratic method, but appreciate following a curriculum, as well. I volunteer at a Montessori school and I know that getting learners of all ages interested and excited about a topic is the key to retention.

Great Question. I have been in classes where I found learning a challenge. This is what makes me unique as a teacher. I build a relationship with the student. I do my best to not only explain the material, but how they can possibly use it in the future. I also have the best patience. I will go over something over and over again, searching in my own mind for a different to present the material so it sticks.
I have always been a good teacher. I scored very well on the SAT exams, and I have extensive tutoring experience. I scored in the upper 10 percentile on the Mathmatics portion of the SATs.
