I am a college student at Coastal Carolina University. Willing to help anyone that needs tutoring. I am a junior studying Biological Chemistry. I am knowledgeable in many different fields besides science. Every subject I've listed I can teach to anyone willing to learn. I am a local from the area so I have a good understanding of the curriculum in the Horry county school system. I am able to teach any (k-12) material. My teaching style is different for every person. As a UNCP alumnus, I currently hold a BS in Biology. I have tutored peers in the past during my second year at UNCP. Subjects that I am familiar are science and math. I have a lot of experience in the science field. I currently work full-time in a lab using my science degree. I’m eager to work as a tutor and use my experience to help advance someone else’s education. I have approximately one year of experience of professional teaching working with a grant funded program at UNCP. With this program was very hands-on and interactive with the students. Many teachers will say the same thing, that they love teaching and it is only outside factors that will disrupt a class and make it difficult for some students to learn. I delight in helping students to acquire new knowledge and there is satisfaction in having students thank the teacher after a class. I like to work with small groups and encourage these groups to explore and teach each other from my leading. Sometimes however, extraneous issues prevent students from learning adequately at school and I welcome the opportunity to supplement this education with one on one or group tutoring. I have earned two Associate Applied Sciene degres in General Office Technology and Early Childhood Educaiton,which have helped me to have a desire to help young people excel in life. Currently I assist student with working to achieve their GED or Adult High school Diploma. No one is too old to learn. I love children. I love learning math and science and I enjoy sharing the same love of learning with my students. I like seeing the look on their face when they really get it! Students requiring tutoring are sometimes in academic distress and have anxiety therefore I have a more easy going and patient style of tutoring than most. I believe I'm an effective tutor because I remember the exact same difficulties and questions I had as a student and can relate to their frustration. Most people as well as myself are visual learners thus I teach by working several examples and gradually increasing the difficulty at a pace set by the student.
