I have extensive experience tutoring middle school through high school age students. I began tutoring groups of students as an exchange student in Austria, in 2012, working with 5th through 10th grade students in English at the BRG Koeflach (the local high school) where I was compensated as an official English tutor. In 2013, I assisted in German II, I would take half of the large class of over 30 high school students and teach the lesson for the day. In 2014, I assisted with German II, III and IV classes, answering student questions during lessons and helping in the classroom. Learning through culture and language

Recently graduated, I have taken four years of Spanish. I taught Spanish III and Spanish II last year with classes ranging in size from 31 to 25 as well as having taught French I and French II in the same year. I taught myself a variety of languages mainly Romance languages including French, and Portuguese along with many others still working at fluency.
I teach in a style which combines different tactics and methods in order to engage the students in the subject. In example, when teaching foreign language I make it a point to incorporate the culture of the native people and their customs along with music and art.

American History is one of my top subjects!

I have been working with children my whole school career from a Kinder Helper in fifth grade, a PAL (Peer Assistant Leader) in high school, and to a synchronized swimming coach today. I find history incredibly interesting and want to help others feel the same way about it. It is a story that needs to be shared. I took AP history classes in high school. I am about to walk the stage at the University of the Incarnate Word holding a B.A in History with honors, also with a minor in Psychology. I am a certified teacher and have been teaching for 8 years in elementary school. I began my teaching career by accident leaving the law enforcement field to work initially part-time as a teacher. However I really enjoyed working with children and found that I was good at it. Over the years it has been nice to hear both parents, teachers, and children comment that I have made a difference in their lives and that I have helped make them the young people that they are shaping to be.
