I have a Bachelor's in Biology and certifications in Math (5-9), Biology (6-12), and Middle Grades Integrated Curriculum (5-9). I have just received my BA in E-Business management with a minor in Criminal Justice. I am beginning my Masters in Criminal Justice in March and will continue to a Dr. in the same field when possible. I do not have professional experience teaching however I have experience tutoring my niece who I have been responsible for since she was 5. She is now 12 and a straight A student. I tutored throughout school and was a teachers aid in Elementary school. I have 2 young boys of my own who will beginning school next year. I have tutored in writing, K-5 math, science and history. I also have tutored in Music including theory and playing. (Piano, Oboe, English horn, Trumpet, drums, guitar and a few other instruments)

A Little Bit About Me...

I have been working with children for several years. I started by teaching dance at a local dance studio while I was in high school. It was from this experience that I chose to go to college to become a teacher. I have a degree in Elementary Education and am ESOL certified. I have experience as a substitute teacher and have worked with both elementary and middle school students.
I understand that all children learn differently and I am able to adapt my teaching style to fit the child. I am both patient and positive and I like to give the student confidence. My goal is to not only help the child learn, but to also give them a sense of confidence. It is important that each student believe in his or herself as well as their capabilities.

Over the last three years I have worked in Hillsborough County as a Middle School Science Teacher. After three years of teaching Science I had a strong desire to work with ESE and Special Needs children so I became a Sub for Hillsborough County so I could travel where need and work with various children. Prior to teaching in FL, I taught in SC and provided reading pull out in WV. During my time in WV I worked on a dual Masters in Literacy and Elementary Education, but was unable to finish it due to lack of aid.
