Prior to earning my J.D. from the University of California, Hastings and admittance to the California Bar in 2008, I received my B.A., Cum Laude, in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania in 2005. My experience at Penn as a writing tutor for two years, enabled me to assist both University and high school students with organizing, revising, and editing their writing assignments in a wide variety of subject areas. During law school I honed my legal writing while working for two Bay Area District Attorney offices where I wrote several motions.

As a teacher, classroom experiences have made me realize all students do not learn the same fashion. Some students are more aggressive and advanced but there are those who are silent and will not speak out about difficulties understanding competencies. I prefer not to embarrass those students but give them the opportunity to learn one-on-one. While some students have a difficult time with teacher/student ratio, I like to give the option of working with another student who may understand the content and can teach another peer. Currently I am the three to five year old Sunday school teacher for my church. I enjoy this age group because they surprise me every time with their knowledge and insight. They are an enthusiastic group who want to learn and share what they know. In the past I worked as a high school history teacher, I tutored another student in US History in high school, and in 7th grade I tutored elementary school students in reading and vocabulary.

When I began my real estate career, I worked primarily with first time home buyers, whom I educated constantly. With the housing market collapse my desire to instruct in this manner grew as I segued into the insurance industry, and was given an opportunity to open a branch office and personally train over 50 agents in a one on one capacity over the course of two years.
