I believe that students do not learn the same way. My teaching style incorporates all learning styles. When teaching a lesson I believe in using secondary reading sources, technology, video clip and other creative outlets. In groups, I like to have many examples and participation from the audience. As a manager and mentor, I also prefer to teach a concept and return to it when the student has an opportunity to use it in their work. I have spent the better part of my life either in school or teaching in one form or another. I highly value both the process of learning and of passing on my knowledge. I have intend to make this my life's work and as such have almost always held teaching positions. I tutored fellow students while an undergraduate and after graduation I taught autistic students in math, reading, art, speech therapy and physical education for 5 years.
