I am an Intervention Specialist that teaches high school juniors and seniors with reading and writing. I have also acquired a Reading Endorsement that qualifies me as a reading specialist for grades k-12. Recently, I have furthered my reading intervention knowledge by mastering the level one certification with the Wilson Reading Systems. The Wilson Reading Systems prepares me to teach students to develop skills for decoding, encoding, comprehension, fluency, and vocabulary.
I use the Wilson Reading Program to teach students to read. The Wilson Reading program is a systematic, multi-sensory program that is a twelve step program. The program is a proven scientifically researched based program with measurable results.

Encouraging & Patient Elementary Tutor

I have grown up around kids my whole life. I am the oldest of four kids and my mom has a day-care in her home. I always thought I wanted to be a singer until I decided my junior year in high school I need to pick a more stable job. I took an internship my senior year of high school where I spent half the day at school and the other half as an intern in a Kindergarten class. I loved it and knew I wanted to teach for the rest of my life. I went a private school in Indiana and graduated in 2015 with my degree in Elementary Education and a minor in Special Education. A Little Bit About Me...

I have the TOEFL certification which allows me to be an English teacher in Spain and an Spanish teaher in the United States I've been an English teacher at Trueba School for a group of children aged 3-10 for a semester I am from Spain so Spanish is my primary language and I am completely fluent on it, either written or spoken. I teached two students from Morocco, aged 20, spanish for a year.
I like to have a nice relationship with the students, spend time with them and base my teaching on a variety of activities, such as Homework, reading and writting but also games, theater and movies.

Elementary Reading is one of my top subjects!

I have been teaching professionally since 2011, and have worked in various other childcare/education positions before that. I have taught preschool, ESL, and Title 1 Reading/Math for grades K-5 since 2011. I currently work in Woodridge Local Schools and teach ESL students online. I love helping students with their phonics, reading, writing, and other language arts skills!
I enjoy incorporating games and allowing students' interests to be a part of learning so that they are more engaged. I am very confident in teaching phonics/reading skills in a variety of ways.
