i have never taught professionaly, but have assisted fellow students. the methods i useed to help them were ither to incorporate the subject matter into a sumject that they had a personal interest in, or manny time i found that they just didnot understand the language of the subject so i reexplained it in simpler terms and they got it just fine. Even as a student i helped my fellow students to understand and grasp the subjects they were having difficulty with. i can generaly spinn the information into a subject matter that interests the individual or just explain it in an easier to understand manner, offted they just get lolst in the language of teaching. i minnored in math, and majorred in science and agriculture in high school, ansd took veternary technology in colledge this involved mostly biologies and lab technigues.

My teaching style is to have a set of problems made up for the students to observe as examples to help understand certain chapters. I will assign additional problems if needed and focus on the subject matter that is the hardest for the individual to understand. I have taken statistics and gotten an A in the course and still have all course materials to give a general overview of statistics and how to use SPSS. I am knowledgeable on the software and would be able to answer questions on statistics because of how well I did and how I used to help others who struggled with the class.

Typically, most students I have worked with are fairly bright, it is just about finding the right way to explain the complicated science in plain english so that they can understand it. Tell the right story, use the right analogy, or draw the right parallels and the student can grasp and understand almost anything. I have previously worked in a laboratory where I had the opportunity to work with students rotating through my laboratory for school credit. I was an adjunct clinical instructor with the Department of Biotechnology and Clinical Laboratory Sciences with University at Buffalo. Although some students were only there two weeks, most were there three to five months, and it was my responsibility to show them all the analyses that were performed in my laboratory, as well as make sure they understood the theory behind the analyses.
