Attaining two degrees has opened my eyes to many different teaching styles and ways of learning. I believe that the most effective way to learn and teach is to explain concepts and theories thoroughly before any application of these concepts. I believe that in order to really learn a subject, and not just memorize it, the theory must be understood. I have tutored high school students and fellow college students in the past, and working as a team to explore the concepts behind the applications has proved to be successful for students' understanding of subject matter and, in the process, furthering my own. I attained my first degree in Supply Chain Management from Syracuse University in 2003. After working in that field for a few years, however, I chose to change my career path.
