I am a firm believer in a student-centered setting with an emphasis on differentiation and rigor. Each student has a different learning style and a specific skill they excel at. I am very empathetic with interpersonal skills and can use the skills students excel at as an advantage to advance others and help a student discover their own potential for learning. I also believe that personal experience determines the way a student is going to relate to the material, so my goal is to promote ways to relate to it and get students excited about finding self-efficacy.
While working on my Bachelors, I volunteered in eight schools working one on one with students, small groups, and classroom settings for language arts.
