Although I have a great deal of dance experience, tap is certainly my forte and my favorite kind of dance. I began tapping at age two and continued tapping through college with the UNC-CH Starheels Dance Company. I have three years experience teaching and choreographing tap to children and adults of all ages. I practice a more traditional, jazzy style of tap, however, I am also acquainted with 'street' style tap. I have a degree in English and Creative Writing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, and have two years experience writing for the Daily Tar Heel. I am a Dance teacher, choreographer and performer as well as a Yoga instructor. I've been dancing for over 20 years and teaching for about 10. I received a Bachelor's in Dance from Brigham Young University in 2011, with an emphasis in Modern/Contemporary. Since graduating I've been teaching, choreographing and dancing professionally and will continue doing so for as long as is humanly possible. I teach mostly Intermediate/Advanced level tap, jazz, modern/contemporary (but am open to teaching all levels) and Beginner/Intermediate level ballet.
