I encourage students to see the wonder and "mystery" (there really isn't any mystery) of Math, regardless of the level, in the real world. To that aid, I try to present real world problems at levels the student can understand. For lower level students, I investigate with them the development of the linear equations involved in setting up a relationship between two factors. I took a total of 6 specialized statistic courses at Oswego along with other upper level mathematics courses. I was involved in an independent study while at Oswego and interned in the actuarial department at Utica National Insurance Group.
