My teaching, tutoring, style emphasizes flexibility. While there are specific learning units that should be taught and retained by the student, the flexibility of the teacher, or tutor, will assist the learning experience for the student. It is my personal goal to strive for not only specific subject material teaching, but to also teach problem solving and critical thinking to any student in my classes. Using my undergraduate degree in accounting, I have 10 years work experience as an internal auditor and a computer accounting staff accountant for three CPA firms. I have an additional number of years of work experience as a mid-level manager of computer programmers and web developers. I am a stickler for proper sentence structure, grammar, and spelling; I believe that a command of written English can open doors in life which appeared previously to be intractably sealed, and can create either employment or advancement opportunities which might not otherwise have been possible. I am preparing to graduate in the spring of 2011 from Mississippi State University with a special education degree. I have studies pedagody and methods for two years with a range of experiences in all types of classrooms. I will be a highly qualified teacher in the spring. I have discovered that every students is capable of achieving greatness if someone will take the time and effort to learn their learning style. I graduated from one of the top teaching schools in the nation (according to NCATE), and have a degree in elementary and special education. I specialized in math education, but am also qualified to teach English, science, and social studies. I have worked with children as young as 2 years old and as old as 15 in a formal setting.
