Teaching is my passion. I have taught for more than 23 years and I know that teaching is a 2 way process (teacher-learner). It's within the teacher techniques, tools and attitude that the learner can achieve the process, and it's within the learner inner or outside motivation that the teacher can help. A Little Bit About Me...

I enjoy watching others learn and come to the realization that they can achieve their goals. My teaching/tutoring style is relaxed and pro-active. The more the student discovers on their own with only a little coaching and encouragement will last longer than if someone shows every step. I believe in a practical hands one real world method. If what the student is learning is not relavent to the real world and their lives they are less likely to learn it.
I have 2 Years of teaching First Aid/ CPR/ AED at the American Red Cross. I also have 1 quarter of tutoring physics at Washington State Community College. I have experience in hands on teaching of students with their horses. I have worked on and off for many years helping memebers of local 4-H clubs prepare their animals for show. I enjoy seeing a student "click" with their project and be able to accomplish new goals. I think it is important to set specific goals for aech student and make those happen before you move on.
As a graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University in General Science Physics, I have completed extensive coursework in the areas of math, science, and engineering. I am looking to obatin an accelerated teaching certificate and I believe this would be a good start for me.
