I did my internship at Springville High School and Dixon Middle School. At Dixon I was selected to help teach adults about the computer. I have 9 children. I was able to teach each of them. Some of them have gone on to higher education and have scholarships. I still have some at home and enjoy teaching them.
I like the tutoring environment because I like seeing individual progress. It is easier to assess where the child is. I believe that the basics are essential to moving forward in education. Memorization of math facts makes it easier for a child to learn new material because he isn't bogged down. I don't believe enough emphasis is placed on arithmetic in today's schools. Throughout my undergraduate studies at BYU, I taught and tutored in Spanish for up 24 hours each week. I supervised 5 districts of students, 10 teachers and up to 65 students at one time, while still teaching in the classroom. A Little Bit About Me...

After graduating from Utah State, I taught 2nd grade for a year at a charter school. It was a good experience, but I wanted the chance to work with students in a variety of settings. During the past school year, I was hired as the Spanish Specialist at another charter school which has been another great experience. Some of my favorite subjects to teach are math, writing, history, music, and Spanish. I have tutored in English, reading, math, and Spanish.
