My comments on tutoring Elementary Social Studies : History that is somehow linked to today's news, however simplified for the age-group one is teaching, makes history so much more accessible and meaningful for young children.

I have joyfully taught students in grades 1 through 5 in Los Angeles urban schools, and in the suburbs of Plano. Everyone needs help now and again!

I have worked with children ages 5 and up for a few years now. I have 3 siblings all 8 years or more younger than me, and have had lots of experience with children in elementary school.
