Since I'm not a teacher and don't follow a schedule or have designated hours, I feel like I can be a lot more patient and easy going with students. I'd like to pride myself in how well I can take a complex idea and break it down into its sub-parts and explain it simplistically. Cathy N - Fresno, CA 93711 (19 mi) - HTML Tutor - $50.50/hr.
My undergraduate degree from was a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Biology, so I have a lot of experience with writing papers and utilizing analysis skills in math and science. In addition, I spend a large portion of my time in college as a tutor for other students, particularly in subjects such as Chemistry, Economics, and Calculus. Recently, I have tutored large groups of elementary school students in the community, following a specific standards established by the California Board of Education. Also, as a current graduate student, I feel that I am able to assist undergraduate college students to a great extent and possibly guide them along a path to further their education as well. I enjoying helping others and teaching them what I know, whatever age they may be. I am very patient and friendly, which are characteristics I find to be important in a tutor.
