My comments on tutoring English : A broad understanding of reading, writing, and communicating properly, English students will be encouraged to read and retain what they have learned, communicate effectively through grammar and correct spelling, and write well-ordered and logical responses to questions. A great course to improve general reading, writing, and speaking.
Hands on, project based. Whether with a group or one-on-one, I consider learning to be best experienced when all five senses are utilized to their maximum potential. Students of all ages will learn through creative game play, creative projects, and creative writing.
Throughout undergraduate and now graduate work, I have always had a passion for passing along what I know, in hopes of teaching and inspiring, and developing others. I have two years of private-school teaching behind me, as well as two summers working with inner-city kids in a program that used the arts to bridge the gap between social and educational shortfalls within the city. I am well read and well versed in classical and current literature, with published articles and short stories to my credit.
