I really like to have the student interact and do problems with me. I like to watch how their mind works on the problems. I also like to get a feel for how the student learns and try to shape my lessons around that. I have tutored Math and Chemistry in both a high school and university level. In high school, I tutored Algebra I and II, trigonometry, Calculus, and Statistics. At the university level I have tutored Calculus I, II, and III. I am hands on. I personally learn best from things like powerpoints and handouts. This is also the way I tend to teach others. I am a high school senior in the AP/Honors program at Warner Robins High School. I have two little sisters who I have tutored since they began school. On average, they have scored higher on tests when I have helped, particularly in the area of social studies. I have also helped multiple students at my school. The average that they score on a test is typically ten points higher than when they study by themselves and, in some cases, twenty points if the student does not study at all.
