When I entered Northwester College, I had the intention of pursuing a degree in Engineering; however, I quickly developed a passion for mathematics. After finishing my B.S., I moved out to Bozeman, MT to work on a Masters in pure mathematics. While in the graduate program I was privileged to teach one class per semester with full responsibilities. At the same time, I weekly assisted with tutoring at the Math Learning Center. Over the last two years, as my understanding of mathematics has increased so has my capacity to explain difficult concepts. With my broad knowledge of the field I can bring a lot of prospective to assist in understanding. Additionally, I have found that in the classroom and one-to-one, my passion for math has been a great aid in drawing interest from students. I have always had the desire to become a teacher. I realize that every person is different in how they learn and sometimes you have to be creative in how you teach. I am very patient and laid back and I understand that frustration from the student often occurs when learning something new. This is why it is important to have someone there to help them ease those frustrations so that they can continue to learn. This is my goal when I help out others. Growing up I always had a love for math and science. This drew me into the field of engineering. While earning a degree in Electrical Engineering from Notre Dame much of my time was spent in study groups and helping others understand areas they had trouble with.

I am an educator that has been credentialed to teach Elementary Education. I have found over the last ten years that I am able to teach students the curriculum that they need as well as teaching the student how to learn. I have come to love math and science and am able to teach these subjects in the style that best suits the student needs to learn.
