A Little Bit About Me...

I believe that learning is ongoing throughout life, and that we all differ in our learning styles. I like to present a topic so that it is fun, usually with tactile work using math manipulatives, or flash cards, props, and games that teach conceptual thinking skills, and methods of learning using visuals, as well as auditory cues.
I have been educating people since 1987. I began in music education, which I taught successfully for 9 years, and also taught piano lessons. Before attending college I worked at an after-school program in Boston that served k-5 students. This program focused heavily on homework completion and educational activities. Being a recent graduate of a university I am able to relate to students and understand the academic setting.
