I have spent my whole adult life working in the field of accounting and finance. I am a life long learner and believe in the power of education. I have been a CEO and COO of a publicly traded bank and am now employed as a VP of Project Management which gives me the flexibility to pursue teaching and tutoring. I am a licensed CPA in the State of Florida. I also teach accounting online for Rasmussen College.
In accounting, finance and economics I believe using real life examples is a better way to get a student to understand principles. However, I do recognize that all students do have different learning styles and it is my job to adapt my methods to the manner in which a student learns best.

I like kids a lot and have been told several times that I have an uncanny ability to relate to the younger generation. My education philosophy is much like that of a trainer of athletes. Each child is different. I always try to notice and acknowledge what benefits each student, as I think this applies to all forms of teaching from academics to athletics. Getting on their level is what ultimately benefits the child from the get go and gains their interest. If I'm interested, then the child is interested. I do my best to make sure the child is setting their goals and doing their best to achieve them in the way and style for which they are best suited.

When I substitute teach, there is not always a need to have to teach something but I am very happy when that times comes.
