I have earned a bachelor's degree from one of the most well regarded institutions in the world and I have a solid math and science background. For two summers while an undergrad, I taught an engineering course to high school juniors participating in the YESS (Young Engineers and Science Scholars) program. I also tutored a junior high school boy for two years in all subjects. I've tutored classmates throughout high school in all subjects. And since July 2006, I have been teaching a GMAT test prep course through Kaplan.

I prefer to work with small groups of students or individuals as it is easier to meet each student's needs. I am very concise and methodical, but am also sensitive enough to pace myself according to the student's needs. Of course, experience is the best teacher, so I usually review the points that the student has questions on, provide an example of the principles in action, and then help the student work through some problems until he or she understands satisfactorily. A Little Bit About Me...

My experience has been in training staff in accounting and tutoring nephews and nieces in school. I tutored my niece, Amanda, who was a D- student in math. She believed she was not smart enough. With my tutoring her to look at math differently, she improved her grades to an A. Even the teacher was quite surprised at the quick turnaround. Her fear of subjects, especially math, shut her off from learning. While I have no direct teaching experience, I have years of devotion to training many different kinds of people for many different kinds of positions throughout my career.
