I'm constantly asking questions of students and I'm never willing to accept "I don't know" as an answer. I encourage students to think independently and critically of their tasks at hand so they don't just excel when a tutor or some type of authority figure is in the room. I love working with kids and will typically take a serious but gentle approach to fostering skills. I have years worth of both instructing large-scale classes as well as one-on-one tutoring. After graduating from UCLA in 2005 with a Bachelor's in English, I taught English composition, speaking, and grammar in Beijing, China for almost two years. Since that time, I have also tutored high school-aged students in the areas of critical reading of literary texts, essay writing techniques, as well as creative writing.
